On April 27, 2020, Joseph London departed this life at the age of 78 in his home. A resident of Lake Charles, La., he was born on December 18, 1941, to the late Royal and Alberta London. He was one of eighteen children (thirteen live births).

Joseph attended W.O. Boston High School and went on to serve his country during the Vietnam War. After the war, he began a family in Chicago, Illinois. He married Mary Johnson and fathered two children, Pam and Danielle. The marriage dissolved. Joseph relocated to his hometown of Lake Charles and married Norma Pete and from this union, seven children. He worked at PPG industries and was a member of Christian Baptist Church. During his time at CBC, he served on the deacon board and taught bible study. Later on, Joseph moved his membership to Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory five siblings, Rose Porter, Victoria Brown, NealerMae Walker Jack and Frank London; nine children, Pam, Danielle, Robert (*Bridgette), Duane (*Mary), Tammalyn, Tanya (*Willie), Gregory (*Sandra), Ron (*Jessica), and  Tasandra.  25 grandchildren Davarius, Lavender, Dacoven , Jacob and Paris, T'Keyah, Taylor, Tyler, Tyra, Joshua, Gabrielle, Jared, Gabriel, Zoey, Sage, Chi, Annalisa, Ron jr, Mia, Trey, Hannah, Haliegh, Lekedrick, T'Keisha and Darien. 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

Visitation has been scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., and family service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date in Central Louisiana Veterans Cemeteries in Leesville, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
