Joseph "R.C." Richard, 87, of Lake Charles passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Richard was born on August 15, 1926 in Lake Charles to the late John Earl Richard, Sr. and Nether Cook Collins. "R.C." was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where he served with the Knights of Peter Claver #141 since 1974. Those left to cherish his memory are: one son, Michael (Maria)Richard of Lake Charles, La; three daughters, Sharon Bryant (Donald Coleman) and Linda (Ridley) LeBlanc Sr. of Lake Charles, La, Cynthia Gail Brown (Leonard Moon) of Fresno, Tx; one godson Marcus Richard; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mildred Richard; two brothers, John Richard, Jr., and Daniel Richard; one sister, Annie Cook.
