On, Friday, December 27, 2013, Joseph Shinette departed this life at the age of 72 in his home. He was born on May 21, 1941 to the Nora Anita Lewis Shinette in New Iberia, LA. He lived most of his life in Lake Charles, LA and worked for many years at Moss Regional Hospital and McNesse State University. He leaves to mourn two sisters; Mildred Shinette LeBlance and Gloria Shinette Jones both of Lake Charles, LA; four nephews; Robert (Frances) LeBlanc; Anthony LeBlanc, George (Aarika) Jones all of Lake Charles, LA; and Johnathan (Devona) Jones of Memphis, TN; Clarence Breaux of Houston TX; and four__ nieces; Anastia(Tyrone) Burgesse of San Antonio, TX and Janet M. Breaux, Madeline (Arthur) Guillory and Barbara Faye LeBlanc all of Lake Charles, LA and a host of friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents Nora Shinette and Anita Lewis Shinette.
