Joseph Shinette departed this life on, Friday, December 27, 2013 at the age of 72 in his home. He was born on May 21, 1941 to Nora and Anita Lewis Shinette in New Iberia, LA. He lived most of his life in Lake Charles, LA., and worked for many years at Moss Regional Hospital and McNeese State University.

He leaves to mourn two sisters, Mildred Shinette LeBlanc and Gloria Shinette Jones both of Lake Charles, LA.; five nephews; Robert (Frances) LeBlanc, Anthony LeBlanc, George (Aarika) Jones all of Lake Charles, LA., Johnathan (Devona) Jones of Memphis, TN., and Clarence Breaux of Houston, TX.; four nieces, Anastia (Tyrone) Burgesse of San Antonio, TX., Janet M. Breaux, Madeline (Arthur) Guillory and Barbara Faye LeBlanc all of Lake Charles, LA., and a host of friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nora Shinette and Anita Lewis Shinette.
