Smith of Waxia, La. He was married to the late Pearlie Mae Williams Smith. He leaves to mourn3 sons; Joseph (Deborah) Smith Jr., James (Darlene)Smith, John Derrick(Latisha) Smith all of Lake Charles, La.,10 daughters; Doris (David) Stelly of Houston, TX; Lisa (Reginald) Reynolds of Baton Rouge, LA; Joe Ann (Randall) Tyler of Palmetto, LA; Dianne Smith, Shirley Favors, Rose Smith, Debra (Donald Ray) Harmon, Brenda (Michael) Brooks, Leona (Gregory) Griffin, and Linda Smith all of Lake Charles, LA: 2 brothers; James Smith Jr. of Palmetto, :A.; Daniel Smith of Texas City, TX,; 2 sisters: Dorothy McKinney of LaPlace, LA: and Thelma Hill of Oakland, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearlie Mae Williams Smith, his parents; Rev. James A. Smith, Sr. and Leona T. Smith; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
