Joseph "Jody" Earl Willis, Jr., 55, departed this life on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born September 21, 1960, to Joseph Earl Willis, Sr., and Vergie Mae Willis in Lake Charles, LA.

A native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA, Joseph attended Marion High School. He retired from Carboline Company as a forklift operator. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Dallas Cowboys, riding his motorcycle and spending quality time with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Eula Webb-Willis of Lake Charles, LA; his little four-legged buddy, his dog, Dallas Jamar Willis; three daughters, Latisha (Bryant) Cunningham, Nellie (Celestine) Cunningham and Josephine Cunningham, all of Lake Charles, LA; three sons, Dedrick Cunningham and Roderick Willis of Lake Charles, LA, and Charles Ardoin of Orange, TX; five sisters, Shirley (Shelton) Chavis, Diane Malveaux, Sheila (Timothy) Price, Glenda (Curtis) Ardoin, Vergie (Frank) Jackson, all of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Randy Willis of Lake Charles, LA; 16 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, his aunt Margaret Richard and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Vergie Willis, Sr., and one brother, Christopher Willis.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home, Rev. Freddie Brown, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
