Joshua "Smokey" Joseph

Joshua "Smokey" Joseph, 75, of Lake Charles, Louisiana departed this life on Thursday, April 22, 2026. He was born on July 7, 1950 to Albert and Gladys Joseph. He worked at Joseph Construction as well as served in the U.S. Army. Smokey enjoyed fishing, hunting, outside cooking, and gardening.

Joshua was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Gladys Joseph.

He leaves to mourn his wife; Barbara Joseph of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Sons; Archie (Jackie) Thomas, Lonnie Thomas, and Ronald (Kim) Thomas, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Daughter; Nedra (Reginald) Harris of Dublin, Georgia. Brothers; Rufus (JoAnne) Joseph, Albert Joseph Jr, Samuel (Sherry) Joseph, Ellis (Clara) Joseph and Carl Joseph. Sisters; Annie J. Jones, Vanessa Clayton, Daisy Joseph. As well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Eulogy/Special will be given by Reverend Moses Shillow.

A Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 beginning at 10:00 AM at King's Funeral Home. Interment with military honors to follow at 12:30 PM at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
