Joyce, born Joyce Marie Brown, the daughter of the late James (Rabbit) Brown and Mary Mable Golden in Lake Charles, Louisiana, was born on June 5, 1944. She departed this life on February 22, 2022. Joyce married the late Chester Randle and was a member of Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an Usher. Joyce worked and retired from Lake Charles Memorial Hospital after 25+ years of service and was very much loved.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, James (Rabbit) Brown and Mable Golden; step-father, Bateman Golden; husband, Chester Brown; granddaughter, Wadrianna Brown and brother, Johnny (BuggaRed) Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Wade Allen Brown (Seronda); granddaughter, Sonja Brown; great-granddaughter, Timber Ned all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; five brothers, James Brown of Shreveport, Louisiana, Arthur Brown of Houston, Texas, Vernice Payne (Sara) of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Jimmy (Willa) Golden of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Bobby Ellis of New Orleans, Louisiana.; four sisters, Shirley Francis (Charles), Carolyn Lavan, Alisa Golden all of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Loadia Golden of California; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Brown of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Orange Grove Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
