Julia Moore, 84, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 in her residence. Julia was born on June 3, 1928 to late Paul and Ida Lazare in Port Barre, LA. she was the fifth child of six children. She was schooled in Leonville, LA and she gave her life to Christ at an early age. Julia married the late Leroy Wilson Sr in 1944 after the death of Leroy Sr. Julia married Peter Moore in 1948. She worked as a sharecropper in her younger years and then moved to Lake Charlles, LA where she worked at Yellow Jacket Café, Jimmy Spells Restaurant and Shay's Drive-Inn until she fell ill and move to Houston, Texas in 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents Ida and Paul Lazare and her son Peter Jr, four brothers; Paul, Junior, Herman, Wilton, and Layton Lazard and two sisters; Loubertha Wilson and Albertha Lazare; daughter-in-law; Vernice Moore and son-in-law; Wayne McCray. She is survived by her sons; Leroy Wilson Jr, Robert (Plut) Moore of Houston, TX, Michael Lazare of Pineville, LA; daughters; Julia Moore of Missouri City, Fulose (Murphy) Edwards of Lake Charles, LA, Jo Ann McCray (Samuel Williams), Emily Perry, Irma Mollette, Charlene Hayes all of Houston, TX and a daughter-in-law Regenia Vezia of Lake Charles, LA; Granddaughter she raised as her own; Sabrina Moore Hayes, Godchildren Bertha Wilson (deceased), George Lazare (deceased), Rosemary Mitchell, and Peter J Edwards of Lake Charles, LA; A lifetime friend; Shirley Broussard and Mr. David Price; sixteen grandchildren; Roger Vezia, Cora Vezia, Quiron Bryant, Sabrina Moore Hayes, Rodney Moore, Arthur Hayes, Murphy Edwards Jr, Takisha Cook, Shomeka Edwards Ware, Danisha McCray, Peter Edwards, Darius Edwards, Ahmad leDay, Yolanda McCray, Wayne McCray Jr, Tamisha Tatum; twenty-eight great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a host of relatives and friends.
