Karen Duhon Prater , 49, was called home Monday, May 16, 2016.  She born October 7, 1966, in Lake Charles, La., to Brady and Lillie Duhon.  Karen's passion has always been the love of motorcycles and was the founder of Queens of Hearts Motorcycle Club in 2009.  A sisterhood of women that carried her same passion consist of her daughter, Keioshi Prater and her closest friends, Carla Hamilton, Patricia Slidell, Regina Savoy and Mryna Cruz King.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her fiancé, Joseph W. Bellard, two daughters, Keioshi Mionique Prater and Miesha Breeanna Prater; one son, Rahkeem Tremaine Prater, all of Lake Charles, La; five grandchildren, Keiren Prater, Maddox Prater, Maddilyn Prater, Weslyn Green and Hagen Prater all of Lake Charles, La., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Brady and Lillie Duhon.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 8:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and funeral service at 12:00 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
