Katherine Aubry , 70, departed this life on Friday, July 15, 2016, at her residence in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born on January 30, 1946, to the late Felton and Hazel Citizen in Church Point, LA.

She worked as a caregiver for the last few years of her life and enjoyed her work.  She was a faithful member at St. Henry Catholic Church.  She was a kind and lovable person with a sweet and gentle spirit.  She loved meeting people and had a special love for all little children.

She leaves to mourn her four brothers, John Leander (Patricia) Citizen, John Patrick (Gwen) Citizen of Houston, TX, Melvin Charles (Rose) Citizen and Adalai Citizen, of Church Point, LA; three sisters, Mary Louella (George) Andrews, Kathleen Gallow of Lake Charles, LA, and Rosella Roberts of Beaumont, TX, stepchildren, grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Aubry; her parents, Felton Citizen, Sr., and Hazel Citizen and one brother, Felton Citizen, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 8:00 a.m., with a Rosary at 9:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at St. Henry Catholic Church, Father Jeffrey Starkovich, officiating.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
