On Monday, the 10th day of August, 2026, Kayla Annette Felix departed this life at the age of 44, peacefully in her home.

She was born on July 6,1982 to Victoria Guidry Felix and Clyde B. Felix, both of whom she preceded her in death, along with her brother Kevin Felix, and her brother and best friend, Kelly Ray Guidry.

Kayla leaves to celebrate her life and love, her daughter, Victoria G. Benjamin, and her Fiancé, Norman Lee Rester. Kayla’s living life was devoted to the well-being of her daughter, her fiancé, and their canine baby, Jasmine.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her brothers, Roman Felix (Las Vegas, NV), Chad Felix (Seattle, WA), Ronnie Guidry (Louisiana); her sisters, Candace Carrier-Spencer (Houston, TX), Rhonda Evans (Houston, TX), Majorie (Therman) Jones (Houston, TX), and Sandra Felix (Orange, TX); nephews, Nicholas Carrier, Jordan Evans, Damon Jones, Marcus Jones; nieces, Brittney Nicole Spencer, Jona Budwine, Danielle Felix, and Nicole Felix. Kayla also leaves to celebrate her life and love, a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins, great- nephews, and several God-sent “Sisters and Brothers”.

Kayla’s humorous nature and thoughtfulness will remain shining brightly in our hearts.

The family is following Kayla’s wishes to be cremated. There will be no services. The family asks that you celebrate Kayla as you knew her to be.
