Kelvin "Dwayne" Henry Sr. of Lake Charles, La., passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends at the age of 44 at Christus St. Patrick's Hospital. He graduated from Sulphur High in 1986. Dwayne's attended East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, and graduated with a degree in Psychology. Dwayne had the greatest love for his family, especially for his children, and even a greater love for the Lord. His passion in life was basketball. Dwayne coached AAU basketball for more than fifteen years. He loved traveling and attending AAU basketball tournaments and had many friends and colleagues throughout the U. S. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 18 years, Carolyn Ledet Henry; one daughter, Sharde'Alyse Henry, one son: Kelvin Dwayne Henry Jr.; two stepsons; Brandon(Alisha)Chenier and their son Kaleb LeDay; Jeremy Chenier(Ashlynn) and granddaughter Alaysia; of Lake Charles. Dwayne also leaves behind to cherish his memories his parents, Frank Harold Henry and Jacqueline Callier Henry; sister Alisa(Terrell) Stevens; two nieces Devin and Dionna Henry; one nephew Dominic Sweet; great-nieces Amiah and Alyse Henry; of Sulphur; paternal grandmother Annie Mae Henry; brother-in-law Darryl(Jessie) Ledet; sister-in-law Paula Ledet; of Lake Charles; and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
