Kevin "KC" Joseph Citizen , 43, departed this life on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on January 16, 1973, to Leo Kennerson and Mary Citizen in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Kevin graduated from Church Point High School in Church Point, LA where he played football. He worked in construction all his life as a cement finisher until he became disabled. He enjoyed sport, fishing, cooking, and dreamed of becoming an inspired rapper. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories to his parents, Mary Citizen of Lake Charles, LA and Leo Kennerson of Houston, TX; one brother, Marquise Citizen of Lake Charles, LA; three stepsisters, Denise, Lisa and Sue; four aunts, Delores (Benjamin) Catalon, Dorothy Veazie, Theresa Westbrook and Helen Citizen; two uncles, Peter (Carolyn) Citizen, Shelton (Jessica) Citizen, his Godfather and a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodule and Lucille Citizen; one aunt, Patricia Citizen, and one cousin, Michael Catalon.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., and funeral service at 3:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home, Rev. Arvind Minz officiating. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
