Obituary

Kevin Wayne LeBlanc, the first born child, to the late Wilbert LeBlanc, Jr., and Brenda Jackson LeBlanc. Kevin was born on March 30, 1968. A loving brother to Anthony Lamond and Wilbert III, Deanna Patrice and Dianna Marie.

Kevin was a man who wore many hats in life and had the same heart through it all. He had an infectious personality, compassionate spirit, and was always looking to see what he could do to make life better for someone else. Kevin believed in living life to the fullest and celebrating everyday as a gift given from God. He lived with the thoughts of one of his favorite songs, "My Way", written by Frank Sinatra.

Kevin was baptized at an early age at Zion Travelers Baptist Church in Iowa, LA, under the leadership of the late Rev. Eddie Conway. He graduated from Lake Charles-Boston High School in 1986, enlisted in the US Navy, and served in the US Marine Corps as a Religious Petty Officer (Chaplain). Kevin attended college during his time in the military and traveled around the world. One of his stops was to Africa, which he affectionately called The Motherland. He was also a successful entrepreneur and owner of Kevin Wayne's Enterprises.

Kevin lived a fruitful life, facing life's challenges as he went, with no major regrets. He loved, laughed, and cried, but through it all he did it his way. After doing things his way, as God blessed him and permitted him to do so, he faced that final curtain and answered the Master's call to enter into eternal glory, with family and friends at his bedside, on December 4, 2022, at the age of 54 years young.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert LeBlanc Jr., maternal grandparents Esville Jackson, Sr. and Beatrice Mitchell Jones, and paternal grandparents Wilbert Sr. and Alice Noel LeBlanc.

Kevin's memories are to be cherished by his mother Brenda Jackson LeBlanc of Lake Charles, LA; his brothers Anthony LeBlanc and Wilbert LeBlanc III both of Houston, TX; his sisters Deanna (Patrick) Parnell and Dianna LeBlanc both of Houston, TX; his godmother Priscilla Bevel of Port Arthur, TX; his godchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Kevin also leaves behind a special friend, Paula Duckless, Jamal Jackson and Dylyn Dillon, to whom he was a father figure, along with other family members and friends.
