Larry L. Branche, Sr., 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2015, surrounded by family and friends. Larry was born April 4, 1941, in Covington, VA to Marie Hughes Branche and Johnny A. Branche. After graduating high school, Larry served in the U.S. Army. He married Mary Rene' after ending his service commitment with the Army and began his family in Lake Charles, La. He was hired by Hercules/Lyondell-Bissell where he invested the next 35 years of his career/life. He joined New Sunlight Baptist Church and was a member there for the past 47 years.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Mary Rene' Branche; one daughter, DeLana Branche of Lake Charles, La; two sons, Larry (Katherine) Branche, Jr., of Houston, TX and Johnny (Kimberly) Branche of Waddell, AZ; eight grandchildren, Jamie (Charity) Jennings, of Birmingham, AL, Jada, Johnny, Jr., and Jordan Branche of Waddell, AZ, Tyrique and Mekayla Branche of Lake Charles, La., and Kylen Branche of Houston, TX; one great granddaughter, Kennedie Jennings of Birmingham, AL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Marie Branche, one son, Michael Branche and rearing grandmother, Mary Hughes.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. at New Sunlight Baptist Church and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home
