Larry James Hadnot, Sr., 63, departed this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at his residence in Lake Charles, LA. He was born March 1, 1956, to George and Lucille Jones Hadnot in Lake Charles, LA.  He was a graduate of Washington High School and Honda Technical Training School where he obtained many certificates as a certified mechanic.  He worked at Don Siebarth for many years and opened his own mechanic shop until he became disabled.  He attended Way of The Cross Fellowship Church under the leadership of Bishop Winston Williams where he served and prepared the communion table as an ordained Deacon.  He was a member of the Male Chorus and a transport van driver for the church. He loved to cook, watch television and was a huge New Orleans Saints fan.

He leaves to cherish his wife, Karen Walker Hadnot; two sons, Kevin Walker and John Baker, III both of Lake Charles, LA; three daughters, Shanda Hadnot, Tracy Dantley both of Lake Charles, LA and Janice Hadnot of Shreveport, LA; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his Godson, Devin Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucille Hadnot; two brothers, Walter Hadnot and Johnny Hadnot; two sisters, Barbara Washington and Irish Morris and one son, Larry Hadnot, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at King's Funeral Home, Bishop Winston Williams, officiating.
