Larry H. Smith age 73 went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 5, 2012. He was born on September 26, 1938 . He was a hard committed worker at Gulf Gate Construction for over 40 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves to cherish in his memories his wife Lucille Smith of 39 years; his sons: Jerry (Abigail) Rogers, Dion Smith both of Lake Charles, Rodney Smith of Shreveport, La., Larry Smith Jr., his daughters: Ada Smith of Many, La, and Deona Smith of Lake Charles; his sisters: Geartha Lee Johnson, Lillie White, Pearl Powell, Elouise Whitman and Dorothy Shempert; two brothers: Willie Lawrence and Sam Lawrence, 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, close friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents Hosea Smith and Pinkey Sibley and his daughter Kimberly Roger Perot.
