Laura Lee Thibodeaux departed this life at the age of 77, in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 16, 2016.

She was born on November 27, 1938, to the late Joseph Guirvy Guillory and Evelena Fontenot-Guillory in Iowa, LA. Her parents were Founding Members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School and lived in Lake Charles most of her life. She was a successful entrepreneur and the matriarch of her family and many others.

She leaves to mourn her children Monica (Zavier) Green, Margaret (Ken) Brooks all of Lake Charles, LA, Kathy (Tony) Leonard of Houston, TX and Erica (Donald) Toatley of Phoenix, AZ. One brother, Joseph G. (Vivian) Guillory, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA and one sister, Dolores Mary Guillory-Boudreaux of Sulphur, LA; eight grandchildren, Jackie, Eric, Ashley, Sven, Angelle (Bo), Ariana, Umaja and Iman; three great grandchildren, Aaron, Michael and Aaliyah; one nephew, David (Kodi) Guillory and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph G. Guillory and Evelena Fontenot-Guillory and her daughter, Melinda Marie Thibodeaux (Jerome) Leger.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016, at King's Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. and a Rosary at 10:00 a.m., Funeral Services following at 11:00 a.m., Elder Michael Cuba, Jr. will officiate. Burial services will be at Combre Memorial Park/Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
