Lawrence Gobert, 75, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 in his residence. Lawrence was born on April 24, 1938 to the late Paul and Felicia Rougeau Gobert, Sr. in Mallet, LA. Lawrence was united in marriage to Mary Lee Brignac on May 27, 1961. In his teenage years he worked as a Rice Farmer. He worked over 25 years as a construction worker at various plants in the area. He was a member of the Union Local #207. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Felicia Gobert Sr; two brothers; Felicien Gobert and Paul Gobert Jr; father and mother-in-law Valentine and Pauline Brignac Sr,; brother-in-law; Frank Brignac; two sister-in-laws; Patricia Lede and Clara Boutte. He is survived by his three sons; Joseph Lawrence (Luecreacy)Gobert of Victonville,CA, Lawrence Gobert, Jr, Sylvester Gobert; four daughters; Cynthia (Joseph) Laurel II of Colorado Springs, CO, Jennifer Gobert, Janice (Anthony) Jolivette, Rachel Morris; three brothers; Clarence (Ellavert) Gobert of Lawtell, LA, Morris (Aurellio) Gobert and Nolan (Theresa) Gobert all of Elton; two sisters; Juanita Gobert of Basile, LA, and Florence Mose of Baytown, TX; twenty-three grandchildren; forty great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a host of relatives and friends.
