Lee Vine Gobert , 69, departed this life on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was born on September 30, 1947, to Joseph Gobert and Pearly Dyer Gobert in Mallett, LA. He was a self-employed brick masonry and a fireplace designer most of his life until his retirement. He received an honorable discharge after serving his country with the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Lee Vine Gobert, Jr., of Lake Charles, LA and one daughter, Dorothy Marie McColister of Houston, TX; one sister, Betty Gobert of Lake Charles, LA and four brothers, James Rogers Gobert (Sandra), Joseph Gobert, Jr., Roland Gobert and Ulysses Gobert (Lorraine); two grandchildren, Jayme Alexis Mathilda McColister and Bianca Nichole McColister; one great grandchild, Chloe Marie McColister and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pearly Gobert; his wife, Mathilda Semien Gobert; three brothers, Jessie Gobert, Ulying Gobert and Cleveland Gobert.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 8:00 a.m., and funeral service at 10:00 a.m., at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet, LA. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
