October 11, 1934 – August 7, 2011
LeeElma Wright entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 7, 2011 in a local hospital. She was the second of 16 children born to Milton, Sr. and LeeAnna (Sam)Guillory on October 11, 1934 in Opelousas, Louisiana. LeeELma worked at First National Bank as a runner for many years until she retired in 1992. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church for many years.
On August 25, 1956, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Albert U. Wright, and they shared 36 wonderful years together. To this union, nine children were born.
LeeElma loved and enjoyed sewing, traveling, and being with family and friends. LeeELma loved visiting with her family no matter how far she had to travel to see them.
She was preceded in death ny her parents, Milton, Sr. and LeeAnna Guillory; her husband Albert U. Wright; sisters Beverly Guillory, Theresa Chavis, and Mildred Guillory; brother Worley, Larry, Cleveland (Tiny) and Ivan Guillory; and her beloved grandson, Dominque Delafosse.
Cherishing her memory are nine children: Sarah Wallace of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Robert (Eileen) Wallace of Seattle, Washington; Yvonne Delafosse; Markus Wright; Mischelle (Donald) Pitre, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Smirnoff (Dagmar) Wright of Germany, Rajika Reid, and Charles Wright both of Houston, Texas; and Michael (Darlene) Wright of Copperas Cove, Texas.
Her survivors also include 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Melrose (David) Lute of Lake Charles, Jackie (Jessie) Gary of Mossville, Louisiana; Bertha Malveaux of Houston, Texas; five brothers, Isaac (Barbara) Guillory of Mossville, Crosby (Anthony), Dewey (Vanessa) and Milton Jr. (Barbara) Guillory, all of Houston, Texas, and Farris (Thelma) Guillory of Philadephia, Pennsylvania.
Also cherishing her memory are her godchild Andre Copeland of Lake Charles, brothers-in-law Jack Wright of Birmingham, Alabama and Ben Wright of Trenton, New Jersey; and sister-in-law Gwen (Jimmie) Boyd of Hamilton, Ohio.
