Leeman Freeman,

August 17, 1951 – June 7, 2000
Leeman Freeman, Jr. was born to the late Leeman Freeman, Sr. and Sovelia Wilson Freeman in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Brother Freeman accepted Christ at the age of nine and was baptized by the late Reverend Frank of Ville Platte. Brother Freeman later moved to Lake Charles and united with Mount Olive Baptist Church. He became a member of Riverside Baptist Church presently pastored by Reverend Lee Wilson. Brother Freeman served as a Deacon and a member of the Male Chorus until the time of his death.
He was united in Matrimony to Audrey Slaughter on August 28, 1971. Brother Freeman was called to rest at 12:45 p.m. on June 7, 2000.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Audrey Freeman; three sons, David Freeman, Derrick Freeman, Sr. of Lake Charles, LA. and Daryl Freeman of Jackson, MS.; one daughter, Dianna Freeman Williams of Lake Charles, LA.; four brothers, Irving Freeman, Sr. of Iowa, LA., Nelson Freeman, Sr., Donald Freeman, Sr., Ronnie Freeman; three sisters, Shirley Freeman, Barbara Toombs and Marie Freeman all of Lake Charles, LA.; ten grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
