Lena was born to the late Mr. Joseph Thomas, Sr. and Mrs. Eyola Steve Thomas, on November 18, 1933, in Vinton, Louisiana.

During her early life, she was united in marriage to the late Nolan F. Gee, Sr. During this union, five children were born. She joined St. James Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until her death, Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Carolyn Jones / Micheal Baloney of Vinton, Louisiana, Cynthia Tatum (Alex) of Orange, Texas, and Cheryl Findley (Alvin) of Florence, Alabama; two sons, Gerald Gee of Houston, Texas, and Nolan F. Gee, Jr. (Cheryl); one step daughter, Kimetra Gee of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Allen Thomas of Houston, Texas, Joe Thomas, Jr. of Vinton, Louisiana; Jimmie Lee Faggot, of Texas City, and Rose Jones of Vinton, Louisiana; one aunt, Mrs. Electon Budwine; twelve grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
