Lena Faye Nickerson Simon , 53, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away from this life on October 31, 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born February 28, 1984, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Mildred Jane Nickerson Kane and Millard Collins. She was preceded in death by both parents, one sister, Verena Nickerson and her mother-in-law, Hazel Simon.

Lena met her soulmate, Antoine Simon, 33 years ago. On December 23, 1991 they were married. Lena most recently worked as a machine operator for Kawneer Company and previously worked at Rockline, American Air Filter, Superior Wheels and Mexican Original. She had a tremendous work ethic. She was known for her beautiful smile, her kindness, her giving heart and her dancing. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed cooking for them.

Lena is survived by her husband, Antoine Simon; her children, four daughters and two sons, Shantell (Kenvin) Akins, and Shawn (Tamika) Iles Sr, of Lake Charles, LA, Keonia (Larry) Clay of Centerton, AR, Antoine (Ciera) Nickerson of Joplin, MD, Jessica (Keyunta) Nickerson, and Raven (Shelvis) Simon of Springdale, AR; 17 grandchildren, DeAaron, DeArrius, Antonio, Jayden, LeAndre, Miyonnia, Keyon, Dymon, Keyanna, Kaliyah, Larry Jr., Shawn Jr., Kenzlee, Kenzee, Shelvis, III, Sha'nya and Taylor; six sisters and two brothers, Debra Armstrong, Sidney Kane, Jane Kane, Jerald Nickerson, and Linda Wilkins all of Lake Charles, LA, Levella Simon of Fayetteville, AR, Angela Manual of Humble, TX and Tonetta Rosette of Opelousas, LA; father-in-law, Ivory Simon of Fayetteville, AR; eight god-children, and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 8:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home, Pastor Tyrone Nickerson, officiating. Burial will follow in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
