Obituary

Leonard Durousseau, 87, departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He was born May 1, 1928, to the late Caesar and Maria Guillory Durousseau in Mallet Louisiana. He was married to Olevia Guillory Durousseau and to this union five children were born. He worked construction all his life with the Local Labor Union and was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Mr. Durousseau leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Shelia (Sidney) Butler of Greenwell Springs, La., Sharon Durousseau of Lake Charles, La., and Frances (Lee) Smith of Gary, Indiana; two sons, Ronald (Leonida) Durousseau of Las Vegas, NV and Terrance (Josie) Durousseau of Baton Rouge, La; one sister, Rita Gallow; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Caesar and Maria Durousseau; his wife, Olevia Durousseau and one son, Terry Durousseau.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 8:00 a.m., and a Rosary at 9:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home  and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Father Wayne LeBleu, officiating.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
