Mrs. Lessie Mae Jones Jacobs was born September 23, 1926 in Washington, LA to Anthony and Frozine Jones.

She was a member of the Little Zion Baptist Church in Washington, LA. She lived in Lake Charles for 40 years.

To cherish her memories are five daughters, Rutha Martin, Eva Hasty, Linda Jacobs and Mary Ann Jacobs all of Lake Charles, LA., Alice Faye Osborne of Mobile, Alabama; seven sons, Phillip Jacobs, Herbert L. Jacobs, Darrell Jacobs, Micheal Jacobs, Jessie Jacobs, Jorome Jacobs and Greg Jacobs all of Lake Charles, LA.; three stepsons, Earnest Jacobs and Earlis Jacobs of Lake Charles, LA., and Lawrence Jacobs of San Francisco, CA., one sister Emma Moore of Opelousas, LA.; one brother, Arthur Jones of Grand Prairie, LA.: 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative friends and host of daughters-in-law and sons-in-law.

She was preceded by her husband the late Phillip Jacobs, Sr. and by one son Rawlton Jacobs.
