Levi Bias, Jr. was born February 16, 1932 in Prairie Ronde, Louisiana, to the late Levi Bias, Sr. and Celestine Pete. A native of Prairie Ronde, Louisiana, he resided in Lake Charles, Louisiana, for most of his life where he was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, and the Laborers Local 207.
He leaves behind his lovely wife, Mariete Cezar Bias of Lake Charles, Louisiana; three sons, Lawrence Bias of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Gordon Bias of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Levi Bias, III of Atlanta, Georgia; four stepsons, Terry Boutte and Ronald Boutte both of Lake Charles, Wayne Porter of Seattle, Washington, and Terry Porter of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Brenda Bias Moore of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Marieta Angie Alexander of Atlanta, Georgia; two stepdaughters, Paula Higgins of San Francisco, California and Candice Marie Porter of Atlanta, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Lee, Earl, Melvin, Lanson, and Leonard; three sisters, Mary Fontenot, Lereey Thomas, and Goldie Simon.
