GRIEVE NOT, NOR SPEAK OF ME WITH TEARS Grieve not nor speak of me with tears, But laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you. I loved you so-twas heaven here with you. Lillian Lachapelle Simien, 101, a native of Mallett, La. passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012. She was born on October 1, 1910 to Marie and Octave Lachapelle. She met and married Abra Simien. Through this union they had nine children. She was a devoted Catholic, an active church member and sang in the church choir. She had a great passion for sewing and gardening. She loved her family dearly, especially all of her grandchildren. She was a very kind, loving and gentle person. Our lives have been forever blessed, and loving her is a gift we will always treasure. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She leaves to honor her memory, four sons, Lawrence (Mearline) Simien, Emerick Simien, Albert (Ruthie) Simien of Lake Charles, La and Merrick Simien of Opelousas, LA. Three daughters, Irene Simien Alex of Houston, Texas, Gladys Simien and Marjorie (Hayward Sr.) Labbe'. Two daughter-in-laws, Theresa Simien, and Joyce Simien, all of Lake Charles, La. and all of her precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. One sister Lena Lachapelle Teal of Duarte, Ca. A special niece Lillie Mae Broussard of Lake Charles, La. and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A very special thanks to Brenda Eurings for her affection, love and care given to our mom, also a special thanks to Rosewood Nursing Home Staff, Dr. C.V. Broussard and Christus Hospice for our mom's care. She was preceded in death by her husband Abra Simien, parents Octave and Marie Lachapelle, three sons, Wilbert, Abraham, and Herbert Simien, one daughter, Mathilda Simien Gobert, four grandsons, Steven Simien, Rayward Labbe', Gregory Simien, Hayward Labbe'Jr., one daughter-in-law, Stella Simien, four brothers, and two sisters.
