Mrs. Lillie Mary Porter departed this life on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the age of 80 in her home surrounded by her family.
Lillie was born September 5, 1936, to the late Jimmy and Seleman Leger Guillory in Eunice Louisiana. She attended St. Matilda Catholic School in Eunice Louisiana.
Lillie was a long time faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Christian Mothers, the 4 o'clock Mass Choir and she was a Eucharistic Minister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Seleman Guillory; her husband of 60 years Napoleon (Stucky) Porter; two sisters, Enolia Adams and Marina Guillory and six brothers, Adam, Yorick, Henry, Hilman, Edward, and Felton Guillory.
She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Cynthia (Andrew) Smith and one son James (Linda) Porter all of Lake Charles LA; five brothers, Joseph, Nedd, Larry, and Bud Guillory of Los Angeles CA, and Lawrence Guillory of Missouri City, TX; three sisters, Stella of Atlanta, GA, Mary Lee of Los Angeles, CA and Eva of Basile, LA; eight grandchildren, John, Taneka, Wykitta, Jasmine (Lionel Justin) Chiasson, Denzel, Jeremy, Jerith, and Jacquelyn and seven great grandchildren, London, Nyla, Kyla, Tiara, Kiara, Taylor, and Sydney. She is also survived by numerous other family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family of Lillie M. Porter would like to thank Dr. Percival Kane who went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of our mother and grandmother in her time of illness.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 8:00-10:30 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Father Wayne Lebleu officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
