Obituary for Linda Faye Harmon "Sue"

On Sunday, the 9 ^th of January 2022, Linda Faye Harmon departed this life at the age of 74 in Grand Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Linda was born on April 29, 1947, in Van Buren, Arkansas to the late James and Myrtis Hammond of Van Buren, Arkansas.

Linda worked as an Operator at Consolidated Aluminum Plant for 15 years and a Direct Service Worker at C.A.R.C. for 30 years. Linda was a caring, supportive and loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Friend. She had an inspiring soul, always there for anyone who came to her with their troubles. Her home was open to everyone, and her hospitality made them feel important. She was humble, compassionate, understanding, family-orientated and most of all, outspoken and was never afraid to tell it like it is. One of the most beautiful souls one could ever meet. One of the most beautiful souls that'll truly be missed.

She leaves to mourn her husband of 22 years, Louis E. Harmon; one daughter, Debra (Larry) Rhodes of Greenwood, Arkansas; one son, Dennis (Allison) Mitchell of Houston, TX; one brother, James (Mary Ann) Hammond of Roland, Oklahoma; one sister, Myrtis Hendricks of Gauthier, MS; four Godchildren, Brandi Wade, Murray Pete, Cory Kerlegan and Christie Brignac; six  grandchildren, Ali Rhodes, Sterling Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Jonathan Atkins, Robert Rhodes, and Nicholas Mitchell; 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. Hammond and Myrtis H. Hammond and her baby brother, Lonnie D. Hammond.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., and funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.
