June 10, 1943 – July 11, 2010
On July 11, 2010, God called one of his good and faithful servants from labor to reward. On June 10, 1943, Earnest and Ruth Williams Thibodeaux was blessed with the birth of their only child, Lionel.
He was a faithful member of Reeves Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and sang in the choir. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. On July 8, 1967, he married Anna Mae Doucet. To this union, three sons were born. Lionel was employed by the Calcasieu Parish School Board for thirty-five years. He was a coach and a mentor for many of the students he taught who loved him dearly. He was a loving and care person who helped anyone.
He leaves behind a loving legacy to be cherished by his friend and the love of his life of 43 years, his wife, Anna Doucet Thibodeaux; three sons, Roderick L. Thibodeaux of Dallas Texas, Wayland L. Thibodeaux and Traman L. Thibodeaux both of Lake Charles, LA; one half sister, Joyce Joseph of Breaux Bridge, LA; two aunts, Lillie Mae Bill of Cade, LA and Linda Johnny of Stockton, CA; five grandchildren, De'Marie A. Thibodeaux, Isaiah Lewis, Jareyl Thibodeaux, Savannah McKnight, Triniti Thibodeaux and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. (Gym Crew)
