Lucille Otis Jones, 86, departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at 6:15 p.m., in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1929, to the late Rev. James Otis and Lucille Johnson Otis Thomas in Franklin, Louisiana. She worked as a domestic worker and in housekeeping at St. Patrick Hospital.

She leaves to mourn her children, Ruth M. Cross, Patricia Lewis Gallow and Edna F. Jones. She has 20 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 25 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. James Otis and Lucille Johnson Thomas; her husband, James Willie Jones; one sister, Hilda Brooks; two brothers, Willie Otis, Sr. and Clarence Otis; and two sons, Chester Gardner and James Willie Jones Jr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at United Christian Fellowship from 9am-11am with Funeral Service following at 11:00 am at United Christian Fellowship. Rev. Ronald L. Mayo will officiate. Burial service will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
