On October 14, 1989 Marcus James Stewart was born to Karen Rochelle Charles-Cuevas and Clarence Stewart Sr. at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Marcus accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lake Charles, La., where he was baptized. With Marcus's Step-Dad Julian Cuevas, being in the military, Marcus got a chance to call several cities his home. He lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana; Los Angeles, CA; Ft Hood, TX; Ft Irwin, CA; Las Vegas, NV and Madera, CA. Marcus graduated from Cimarron High School in Las Vegas, NV. Shortly after graduation he became a father to the joy of his life, Malakai Stewart. Marcus was very proud of being a father. He wanted the best for his son. While in Las Vegas, Marcus worked for Coca-Cola as a Security Guard. After Marcus's mother, Karen, passed away, Marcus moved to Madera, CA to live with his brother Michael. Although this took Marcus a little further from his son, than he wanted, he knew the move was best for him and that Malakai would be moving closer to him soon. Although Marcus did not live to see this move, he died knowing it would happen. Marcus's mother, Karen Cuevas, his maternal grand-parents, Hazel Pete Thomas Charles and Curly Charles, both preceded him in death. Marcus leaves to mourn his son, Malakai Stewart; his father, Clarence Stewart, Sr.; Stepfather, Julian Cuevas; Stepmother, Brenda Stewart; Brothers, Michael Charles, Tyrone Stewart and Clarence Stewart Jr.; fraternal Grand-parents, Leroy Levi Stewart, Sr. and Betty Jane Broussard; his step fraternal Grand-parents Juan A Orellana and Maria L Orellana and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
