Margaret Lee Prater, 68, departed this life on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital in Baytown, Texas. She was born in Monroe, LA, to Leroy Tatum and Emma Randolph and was married to Willie Prater, Sr. Mrs. Prater lived most of her life in Lake Arthur, LA. She worked at Nott's Corner Restaurant for 25 years as head cook. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Sheila Carroll of Baytown, TX; four sons, Jeffrey Alexander of Lafayette, LA, Willie Prater, Jr., of Houston, TX, Garland Prater of Brownsville, TX, and Lance Prater of Houston, TX; four brothers, James Lewis, Jr., Willie Lewis, Danny Lewis all of Monroe, LA, and Barney Lewis of Lake Charles, LA; two sisters, Betty Grace of Detroit, MI and Esther Jenkins of Lake Charles, LA; 16 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Prater was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Prater, Sr.; parents, Emma Randolph and Leroy Tatum, and four brothers, Phillip Scott, Charles Randolph, Sam Lewis and Wayne Lewis. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015, at 9:00 a.m., and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home with Minister Larry Payne, officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
