Mrs. Lewis was born in Grand Coteau, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles for 60 years, and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She was employed as a housekeeper for years and a laundry attendant at Suds and Duds. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Lewis Sr., and her son, Felix Lewis II; her parents, Gabriel and Victoria Guilbeaux; one brother, James (JC) Guilbeaux; and two sisters, Patricia Chilo and Elizabeth Bushnell. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her son, Byron Lewis, and two daughters, Mary (Dennis) Shelton and Lisa Chretien, all of Lake Charles, LA; seven sisters: Theresa Taylor, Mary (Alvin) Thierry, both of Houston, TX, Ollie (Gerald) Singleton of Baton Rouge, LA, Francis (Eddie) Arceneaux of Bellevue, LA, Linda (Martin) Jordon of Opelousas, LA; seven brothers: George (Ellen), Upson (Ethel Rose), and Floyd (Irma) Guilbeaux, all of Port Arthur, TX, Nelson Guilbeaux of Detroit, MI; seven grandchildren: Felix III (Brandi), Daytee, Shawn, Chas, Delicia, Danielle, Tamara, and Brianna; nine great grandchildren: Shavonta, Felix IV, Bryson, McKenna, Brennan, Dylan, Daniel, Shia, Aleia, Saniyah, and Bostan; a host of sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends; along with three daughter-in-laws that are admired dearly: Renella Lewis, Shiela Lewis, and Abigail Lewis; and a son-in-law, Daniel Chretien.
