Marva Ann Broussard Ward, 79, departed this life on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings, LA. She was born November 29, 1939, to Planey and Ethel Louise Broussard in Mermentau, LA.  She worked with the Jefferson Davis Parish School Board as a cafeteria technician until her retirement.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Errol "Toby" Ward, II, (Raynetta); two sisters, Ann Jerline Rideaux-Hunter and Margaret Ann Leopold; four grandchildren, Deoshanell Ward, D'Andrea Ward, Whitney Freeman and Jared Broussard; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Planey and Ethel Brossard; her husband, Errol Ward, Sr.; one son, Andre Ward; one sister, Barbara Pete and four brothers, Sterling Broussard, Ronald Broussard, Paul Broussard, Sr., and Joseph Broussard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, LA, Father Jude Fernando, officiating. Burial will follow in Mermentau Memorial Cemetery in Mermentau, LA.
