Mary Alice Bell , 69, departed this life on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at her residence in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born April 5, 1952, to Edward Cane and Laura Mae Castille Cane in Lafayette, LA.  She loved visiting with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and geat grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her children, Karen Johnson of Port Arthur, TX, Kevin Reco Cane of Opelousas, LA, Antoinette Bell of Baytown, TX, Shaquille Bell  and Jacobi Bell both of Lake Charles, LA; two sisters, Carolyn Matthews and Margaret Pappillion both of Beaumont, TX; one brother, Larry Cane of Opelousas, LA; nine grandchildren, Patricia Boyd, Shaniqua Edwards, Joshua Edwards, Rachel Edwards, Jacqueline Middleton, Katherine Rideau, Bianca Bell, Edward Cane Bibbins and Kevin Reco Tyler; seven great grandchildren, Markeith Bell, Donovan Frank, Dasharia Frank, Ivan Miles, Bryson Boyd, Kingston Bell and Johnny Thomas, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Laura Mae Cane; three sisters, Shirley Cane Edwards, Laura Robertson and Delores Patterson and one brother, Calvin Cane.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home.
