Mary Lee Bellard Gordon, 75, passed away on May 19, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mary was born on December 24, 1945, to Benjamin and Viola Thomas Bellard in Church Point, Louisiana.  She graduated from Ross High School in Crowley, Louisiana in 1965, and attended McNeese State University.  She met the love of her life, Austin Louis Gordon, Sr., while babysitting for one of her sisters in Lake Charles.  They married on October 28, 1967.  From that union, they were blessed with two sons, Austin Louis Gordon, Jr. and Terrance Tremaine Gordon.

Mary attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she proudly served many roles in the service of our Lord, such as Eucharistic Minister and Lector.  She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Peter Claver Court #141 where she served as past Grand Lady.  She was also a member of Father H. F. Schuster Chapter #22 where she served as Faithful Navigator.  At the time of her demise, she held the office of Faithful Comptroller.

Mary enjoyed being with her family.  Family meant the world to her, for she was proud of her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed conversations with her sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She knew that family bonds were important and she took pride in having those connections.

Mary has joined her love, Austin, Sr., but leaves to mourn her two sons, Austin (Chikytra) Gordon, Jr., and Terrance (Shakera) Gordon, of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Austyn, Michaela, Tyren, and Shondalynn; five sisters, Stella Guidry, Mary Goodly, Isie (Gervis) Ned of Lake Charles, Joyce Dotson of Marietta, Georgia, and her twin, Mary Ann Guillory of Eunice, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Bellard, and two sisters, Mary Mable Bellard and Emma Lee Edwards.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m., at King's Funeral Home.  On Saturday, May 29, 2021, a second visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m., at King's Funeral Home and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
