Mary Ann January , 68, departed this life on Friday, September 23, 2022, at a local hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born July 19, 1954, to Arceneaux January and Ethel Hebert January in Cameron, LA.  She worked at Petroleum Helicopters, Inc., Kajon Convenient Store and delivered meals for the Cameron Council on Aging.  She was a member of Union Mission Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lionel A. Jones.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Sharika January; her daughter's father, Billy Joe Bell; five siblings, Aline Druilhet and Eva January of Lake Charles, LA, Bernnel (Yuliana) January of Morgan City, LA, Faye (Donnie) Spriggs of Mathews, VA and Emily January of Gloucester, VA; two grandchildren, Maryana January and Joseph January; one Goddaughter, Catina Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arceneaux and Ethel January; one son, Kenneth January; siblings, Henry, Larry, Arceneaux, Jr., Joe and Donald January, Evon January and Ethel Yerby.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., and funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at Union Mission Baptist Church, Pastor Lionel Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
