Mary Alexander Johnson , 72, departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  She was born February 22, 1950, to Stafford Alexander, Sr., and Hazel Alexander in Fenton, LA.  She worked in healthcare as a licensed practical nurse until her retirement.  She enjoyed praying, singing and community service.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Patrick Alexander, Lawrence W. Phillips, Terry A. Phillips and Stacey M. Phillips; her siblings, Victoria Wilridge, Pearl Keller, Webster Alexander, Sr., and Duson Alexander; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stafford Alexander, Sr., and Hazel Sims; siblings, Elton, Johnny, Richard, Andrew Lee, Stafford, Jr., Maudra, Shirley Ann, Betty Mae and Rose

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., and funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at King's Funeral Home.
