On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, Melvin Lee (Puggy) Savoy Jr departed this life at the age of 44 in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He worked in Lake Charles for many years. He was a graduate of Barbe High School and was an excellent basketball player during his High School Years. He was a man of many talents especially in the area of caring for his family and mother. He leaves to mourn his memory his wife Julie Savoy, and three Step Children, Christina, Leann, Cheyenne Gardner. His mother, Cecilia Savoy and one sister, Artinna Savoy (Donald) Brooks and two nieces, Faith and Hope Savoy all of Lake Charles, La., four Aunts, Catherine (Louis) Rogers, Mary Alma Balque, Mathilda (Leon) Chavis, Lucy (John) Chavis, two God Children, Jazmine Chavis and Hope Savoy, God Parents, Mathilda Chavis & Louis Rogers and a host of close family members and loyal friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Savoy Sr. and maternal grandparents, John and Annie Trail, five Uncles, John(Brother), Anthony(UL), Patrick Lee, David and Daniel Trail all of Lake Charles, La.
