Melvin George Williams , 77, departed this life on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, in Lake Charles, LA. He was born on November 23, 1939, to the late Malvin Williams and Ida Thomas Williams in Lake Charles, LA. He worked for Pepsico, Inc., in Los Angeles, CA for 20 years and Maritime, Inc., in Lake Charles, LA, for 22 years. He was a member of Christian Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Edward Alexander, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Eunice Williams of Lake Charles, LA; one son, Randall Carl Williams of Riverside, CA, Dana Alecia Williams, of Bellflower, CA and Sandra Williams-Coleman of Corona, CA; four grandchildren, Lauren Williams, Jeremy Pope, Randall Williams, Jr., and Caleb Mitchell and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Malvin and Ida Williams.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 8:00 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Christian Baptist Church, Pastor Edward Alexander, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
