Morris Botley, Jr., 90, departed this life on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles, LA. He was born on December 2, 1928, to Morris Botley, Sr., and Bessie Bias Botley in Branch, LA.  He worked as a truck driver until his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Joyce Botley; his children, Johnnie (Linda) Botley Lake Charles, Geraldine (Ray Charles) Captain of Lake Charles, Gayle (Cheryl) Botley of Beaumont, TX, Bernadine (James) Galloway of Lake Charles, and Keith (Patricia) Botley of Katy, TX.  He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren,  great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Bessie Botley, Sr.; one son, Glynn Botley; three sisters, Jessie Lee Botley, Georgia Mae Jackson and Queen Ester Pierre; and two brothers, Daniel Botley and Joseph Botley.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA, officiated by Pastor E. J. Kemper, III of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Lake Charles. LA.
