Nelson Matthew Carroll 55, departed this life on January 26, 2018, at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.

Nelson Carroll was born to George Allen Carroll, Sr. and Ruth Miller Carroll in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a long time member of Refuge Temple Ministries where he served in many auxiliaries, Security, Mass Communications, Deliverance Choir, Brotherhood Training & Development Department and he was a bass player for the group "The Ministers".

Nelson leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, George Allen Carroll, Sr., and Ruth Miller Carroll; three children, LaDonna Carroll, DeLisa Carroll and Matthew Carroll; four brothers, Michael Carroll, Sr. Christopher Carroll, Sr. (Tina), George Carroll, Jr. and David Carroll; two grandchildren, Isaiah Marquee and Zah'iri Dionne; two very special close friends, Donna Carroll and Maxie Shelvin and a host of family, friends and church family.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 11:00 am., at King's Funeral Home.
