Nelson (June) Wilson, Jr., 75, departed this life on Sunday, August 8, 2021, in Lake Charles, LA.  He was born July 20, 1946, to Nelson Wilson, Sr., and Clynell Colbert Wilson in Baldwin, LA.  He was a resident of Lake Charles, LA for 56 years.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Scott Wilson of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Desirea Scott of Beaumont, TX; one stepson, Desmond Scott of Lake Charles, LA; two grandchildren, Kendall Sweet and Baby Kash, of Beaumont, TX; three sisters, Mary Pickney (Mervine), Debra Wilson (Curtis) both of Baldwin, LA. and Edna Bellard of Sorrell, LA.; one brother, Lynel Wilson (Sandra) of Baldwin, LA.; one uncle, Leonard Colbert (Lucille) of Houston, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Wilson, Sr., and Clynell Colbert Wilson; one grandchild, Sevion Cryer; one nephew, Anthony (Push) Wilson and one brother-in-law, James (Jelly) Bellard, Jr.

A wake service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at King's Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Charles, LA.  Funeral service will be observed on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 12:00 p.m., at Special Providence Baptist Church, 814 Martin Luther King Blvd., Baldwin, LA 70514. A viewing will be conducted at 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Special Providence Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.  Masks and social distancing will be enforced, due to COVID-19 Pandemic.
