Nicholas Paul Simien
Born on October 12, 1998, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he was the beloved first son of Sampson Jr. and Nicole Simien. He passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the age of 27.
Nicholas “Nick” Simien, a beloved son, brother, grandson, friend, and bright young man, wise beyond his years, possessed a brilliant mind, tremendous talent, and a charismatic personality that drew people to him. Confident, stylish, and full of life. A proud graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe, Nick earned a degree in Psychology and built a career as a regional sales manager for Grundfos Corporation where he settled in and built phenomenal lasting relationships with friends that turned into family.
Twenty-seven years was far too short for someone with Nick’s brilliance, talent, personality, and promise. He had so much more life to live, yet the love, laughter, style, wisdom, and unforgettable presence he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Although Nick is gone far too soon, he will never be forgotten. His life, love, and legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
Nick is survived by his beloved mother, Nicole Simien; his brother, Cameren Simien; his sister, Santana Cezar (Jessie); his nieces, Gabrielle and Savanna; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, fraternity brothers, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, the late Sampson Simien Jr.; his grandparents, Sampson and Shirley Simien; and his grandfather, Ernest Willis.
Visitation will be held at King’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 11, 2026, beginning at 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A Rosary will be recited from 8:45 AM until 9:15 AM.
