Nola Mae Thornton , 52, of Lake Charles, La., has gone to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 27, 2015.  She was born February 17, 1962, in Breaux Bridge La.  She worked as a sales associate at Walmart for many years.

Nola was one of nine children born to Ida Mae Hampton and the late Earl Alexander.  She leaves to mourn her mother, Ida Mae Hampton; her companion, Garry Jarrett, of Lake Charles, La; one daughter, Lakisha Alexander of Lake Charles, La; three sons, Anthony Alexander (April),  Derrick Alexander of Woodbridge, VA, and Emile Alexander of Lake Charles, La; two brothers, Joseph Jones and Marvin Davis of Lake Charles, La; four sisters, Elizabeth Stevenson, Betty Landry, Annia Alexander and Monique Davis all of Lake Charles, La; eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Alexander; step father, Henry Davis; two brothers, Ronald and Morris Alexander and her grandparents, Noel Jones and Georgianna Washington.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. and funeral service at 12:00 noon at King's Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
