Octavia Malveaux , 87, departed this life on Friday, March 23, 2018, at her residence in Lake Charles, La. She was born on June 8, 1930, to the late John and Victoria Tezeno in Washington, La. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Albert (Brenda) Malveaux of Lake Charles, La., Bernadette (Patrick) Manuel of Bonaire, Ga., Antonio Malveaux and Bernita Garland both of Lake Charles, La; one sister, Theresa Harris of Metairie, La; one brother, Allen Tezeno of Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren, Sheree Henderson, Shayla Johnwell, Steven Garland, Justin Garland, Jamie Watkins, Tariq (TJ) Malveaux, and Orlando Malveaux; 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Victoria Tezeno; her husband, Ferdinand Malveaux; two brothers, Hosea Tezeno and Morris Tezeno; one sister, Victoria Ware and one son, David James Malveaux.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at 8:30 a.m., and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at King's Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home.
