"Owen "Man" Huren Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the age of 67 in Cornerstone Hospital of SWLA. He was born on January 11, 1947, to the union of the late Owen Huren, Sr., and Owena Joseph Huren of Amite, La. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was preceded in death by his father and mother of Amite, La. two aunts, one uncle and one sister-in-law. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 26 years, Patricia Ann Scott Huren, one daughter, Yenisei Broussard (DePaull) Shavers; two sons, Andrew (Angela) Scott and Randall Broussard all of Lake Charles, La; his children, Dana Huren and Owen Huren , III of Amite, La; three sisters, Ollie Jackson, Maxine Huren and Vanessa Huren all of Lake Charles, La; one brother-in-law, Perry Guillory, Jr., of Lake Charles, La; eight grandchildren, Donavan Scott, Dontae Scott, Kennedi Broussard, Bradley Young, Aaliyah Scott and Kailyn Young all of Lake Charles, La; one god-daughter, Devinda (Byron) Love, a devoted friend, Vincent Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
